About Princeton University Woodrow Wilson School

Woodrow Wilson School students are a diverse group of undergraduates and graduates representing different backgrounds and life experiences, yet each enters the School with a demonstrated interest in public policy. Guiding them is an impressive faculty whose research produces knowledge on which sound public policy is based. The Woodrow Wilson School’s distinctive educational approach strikes a dynamic balance between theory and practice. Our students not only develop analytical skills but also acquire substantive knowledge about the world’s most important domestic and international policy issues. This balance is reflected in our curriculum, which varies widely in both topic and format. Lectures, seminars and workshops are taught by renowned scholars as well as practitioners who have served in leadership positions at all levels of government and in multilateral and nonprofit organizations. The best indicator of our success is our alumni. Woodrow Wilson School graduates are leaders in public, nonprofit and private sectors around the globe — living examples of the University’s unofficial motto, “Princeton in the Nation’s Service and the Service of Humanity.”
